Many profess Jesus and come to the faith, but they fall away from Grace, away from the faith. They were with Jesus for a few years, and then you don't see them any more as they fall away. That's why, my friends, we have to be serious about keeping vigilant and watchful against the enemy, for he comes to snatch away our faith, to hinder our progress so we don't reach maturity. People need not heed Satan and listen to him, but the problem is a lot of people and do fall to the things Satan brings into their life and they fall away. That's why Jesus talked about the seed that landed on the footpath.
They hear the truth and they accept it with joy but then Satan comes along and snatches out the seed. They endure a little while, but soon persecution comes along and trials, for the faith they follow away that's what happens to a lot of people I'm fall away to the cares of this life some fall away to the worries, and the pursuits of this life. Others fall away to the lust of the flesh and others follow other various things and they do not continue in the steadfast of faith that they began with. But that's not what we're here to do!
When I came to Jesus in 2009, I came to Jesus for long-term to progressively walk with him on the new way, however along the way temptation came along to try and get me to lose my footing so that I would not endure, but fall away. Satan wants you to cut yourself off from the vine. That's why he comes after born-again Christians. Many born-again believers believe that once you're born again that's it, you are now sealed and done. But satan knows that's not true, because if it was true he wouldn't bother about you. But since he can get a born-again believers to cut themselves off from the vine Jesus Christ, he comes along to bother you. He tries get them to doubts just like he went along to Jesus to do the same, because he knows that if he can get you to fall away, to start walking the worlds way again, then he can get you to be cut off from the vine! You know dear friends, the devil knows you can wither and he knows that the Father will in time cut-off such branches, gather them up, and have them cast into the great fire. That is why, my friends, we must be vigilant and watchful, for satan walks around like a roaring lion looking to whom him may devour. And he will surely devour us if we're found not being vigilant and watchful, but we are found following our own paths in our own sins not being serious about Jesus Christ. That's why I warn everybody to be vigilant and watchful, less you fall prey to the enemy.
When we follow Jesus, we may lose a lot of things for Jesus Christ. We may lose our family for Jesus. We may lose our job for Jesus, but we have nothing to fear about the cares of life, because Jesus will provide for those who fear him, and who follow him as his disciples. He will provide for them. And so, even though some things may test your faith, Jesus will provide and make sure that you don't go without for your circumstances.
Someone like Paul could go without a lot of things because he didn't have a family to care for, but for other people they need certain things and that's why Jesus provides for he is God. God knows how to provide from his children. It might seem a bad or impossible situation, but if you trust in Jesus and you follow him, he will be your provider for your situation. He is not coming along to make you rich and prosperous, like the prosperity message teaches, because that's getting people to focus on what the world is chasing after: their wealth, seeking prosperity, but he will make you prosperous in what you do if you're serving him and your mind and your heart is on the Lord Jesus Christ! Then he will certainly make you prosperous so that you can bear fruit for the kingdom of God, prosperous in the Kingdom, and also for your worldly needs. Jesus knows how to look after his sheep, and those follow him will be looked after. We must obey and serve him. Some people see Jesus as a means for their provision. They're interested in other things. You know, my friends, let us not to fall away to having the wrong mindset towards Jesus Christ, because if you have the wrong mindset towards Jesus, what happens is when you get to the gates of heaven, you won't be able to enter. We don't have to worry about entering those gates if we follow and obey Jesus, and we take him seriously. We can have faith and Jesus will bring us into his kingdom. But we have a lot to worry about if we don't have the right mindset about Jesus. If you just seek Jesus and his power to just give us a better life, if that's what your mindset is, a worldly mindset, if you're seeking Jesus to make your company go better, to make your sport go better, to give you prosperity, to give you an edge over your peers, over your rivals, if that's what you're seeking Jesus about, then you have the wrong mindset, and you're not going to have any communication with him, and he is not going to know you.
That's not the way to know Jesus. The way to know Jesus is to truly let go of your life, and let go of the things you hold onto, and just live for the kingdom of God. It's a way of madness for this world. After all, why should you just live for the way of this world? Why should you just live for another kingdom, when we have this life now? People want to live their best life now! They want to heap up preachers for themselves that would tell them that you can live your best life now. That's the wrong message. That's the wrong focus. That's another tactic of Satan to give you his kingdoms on earth. That's why he came to Jesus and said, “I’ll give you the kingdoms of earth.” Satan wants to give you the kingdoms of earth, and get you to miss out on the kingdom of heaven. He knows what's coming in heaven and he wants you to miss out. So, like I said earlier, many start the race of faith but few finish. They don't stay serious.
I have seen so many people over the time I've been following the Lord, who start well, but they don't finish. They fall away each to their various trials and struggles. That's not what we're here to do my friend. We are not here to fall away to our trials and struggles. We are not here to fall away to the world, to the cares of life, to the sins of the flesh, to the temptations of the flesh. I have know many who fall away from the faith. They go back to their worldly acquaintances, and long for for the old life and then go back to them and shipwreck their faith. People follow Jesus for while, but then the pull from the old life is too great and they end up getting pulled back into the fold, to the fold of the goats. They couldn't stay in the fold of the sheep. Dear friends we are not the goats! People get pulled back into it all, back into the partying, into the worldly lifestyle, back into the living for pleasure and not living for God, back into the captivations of this life, the things that captivate men's hearts down here: the sports, the entertainment, the glory of the earth, the glory of man, the pride of life, all the things people do captivate their hearts and they get pulled back into the fold of the goats. They don't stay with the sheep. They don't stay listening to Jesus. Jesus is too boring for them. That happens a lot my friends. We've got to walk the way to the kingdom keeping our mind and heart fixed on the kingdom above, then we will never fall away. That's what is written about the way: keeping our hearts fixed on the kingdom above then we will ever fall away; adding to our faith self-control, godliness, love, perseverance and endurance in increasing measure every day, and then we will never fall away to the sins of the flesh, to the sins of life, but we will receive a grand entry into the kingdom of God.
Jesus said, “Seek you first the kingdom of God.” We got to live for the kingdom instead of the kingdom of earth. We have got to be different to the world. They live for the family, they live for their career, they live for the sport and for their talents, they live to get the best out of life living your best life now. I've heard people talk about somebody who died doing what they loved, “Oh, at least they died doing what they loved,” as if that's a comfort, a good thing. That person is burning in hell under their feet. If they can say that, it's because the world is blinded and darkened by the enemy, listen to Satan. They don't even know Satan exists, yet they listen to him daily by the way of the world. They don't have their minds and hearts fixed on the kingdom above. That's why it's madness to this world to fix your mind on above.
I expose these things, because that's what we're here to do today is to fix our minds and hearts on the kingdom above. We are the true sheep of God. As Jesus said, “Fix your mind and heart on the kingdom of God first and then all these things of earth that you need will be added to you.” Jesus provides for all my needs, because I'm fixing my heart and mind on the kingdom above. He looks after my worldly needs. Jesus said, “Are not you worth more than a few sparrows whom the Father looks after and who knows which ones fall to the ground? Are you not worth more than them?” Do not fear, Jesus will look after everybody of his who puts their mind and heart on the kingdom first. We need not fear, for Jesus will look after everybody of his who puts their mind and heart of the kingdom first. We know my friends that Jesus doesn't hear the prayers of sinners. They who are living in sin cannot expect any kind of help from the Lord. People come to me to pray to God for them, that he will forgive them and know them more. Dear friends it is our responsibility to seek Jesus ourselves. He is not going to listen to somebody else on your behalf unless it's for the salvation of your soul, because you can't pray, or are in sin, or an unbeliever. It is your responsibility to pray to Jesus and to work out your life with him. It is your responsibility to put your mind first on the kingdom of God so he can provide for you, because when you are not living the right way, and ask someone to pray to God on your behalf, that isn't going to bring you closer to Jesus. People can pray for you and ask the Lord to shake you up and get you right into the light, but I'm telling you to seek of the Lord now, so you draw near to him in a relationship. You have to listen to his chiding, to his punishment. Many believers often go through a lot of hardship and trial and troubles in this world, because they don't follow Jesus, and he chastising them, but they are not listening. If we go through our life, and we continue not to listen, then we are going to just die in our troubles and end up in hell! That's what will happen. You know, dear friends, if we do not live a holy life and we die in our troubles and sins, then we will not inherit the kingdom of God. There's no way to the kingdom except through following Jesus. He is the only way as hard as that might be to people. You can only be saved if you repent and follow Jesus and you put the kingdom first. Not only that, you can only be saved if you then endure and run the race of faith with endurance, not falling away.
Paul said that he beat his flesh into submission daily, lest after having run the race and lead so many people to the Lord, he should be disqualified at the end. He didn't want to be disqualified through sin, and sin will disqualify born-again Christians from finishing the race of faith and receiving the prize of eternal life.
If you live in sin and you don't repent, and you fall away to the old ways, then you're going to end up disqualified because you didn't practice self-control. You must add to your faith Peter chapter 1, where we read to add to your faith daily in increasing measure godliness, self-control, endurance, perseverance.
We have got to add these things to our faith daily, my friends, then we will not fall away. There's no point in listening to doubt and go back to your life and losing the faith, like I see so many people I've known in the past. They start so well, they're on fire for the Lord, and then over time the fire die down and they fall away. I don't see them anymore and next I hear about them, they are following the world again! That's how it is for many believers of this time. I have seen what happened in the past where so many people start but do not finish.
Jesus said, “Strive ye therefore to enter the narrow gate, for many people I tell you will try to enter that gate but will be not able to.” Many people will begin the race of faith but then not as many will finish. Jesus said, “Wide and broad is the way to destruction. Many are they who go by that way.”
The way to life they didn't find it. Why is it few? It is because so many people are called, but few people are chosen. So many people try to enter the narrow gate and are not able to. Why? It's because they don't keep the faith. They don't put the Kingdom of Jesus first. They don't add to their faith daily in increasing measure endurance, perseverance, godliness, self-control, and so they fall away. They are the one of the many who try to enter the narrow door, but are unable to.
All of us on this earth currently are striving to enter the narrow gate including myself. We enter it if we maintain the way of faith and we put the kingdom first and we live for the Lord. We will enter, if we remain connected to Jesus in our faith. We are all going to enter if we remained connected to the vine, if we remain bearing fruits, and we don't wither up.
People say you can't become ‘un-born-again.’ they say yet they don't even listen to the words of Jesus where it is so clearly stated that not everybody who says Lord, Lord will be saved. Jesus said not everybody will enter the narrow gate who strives. Jesus clearly said that the branch in me that doesn't bear fruit and withers, is cut off!
Now, how do you think that branch was there in the first place? Do you think you are always connected to Jesus Christ the vine? Certainly not! The apostle Paul writes about being grafted into the vine as a wild olive shoot. Somebody is grafted into the tree. I tell you why: it is because they became ‘born-again.’ They became new by faith. They turned to Jesus, repented and had faith. They became grafted into the vine.
Why then can you wither up and be cut off, if you can never lose your salvation! ~ like people say. Let me tell you something: we don't have salvation on this earth until we have endured and received the crown of salvation at the end of the race of faith. There is no such thing as saved now. We are all striving now to enter the narrow gates. Those of us who love Jesus and have connected to him by faith, we are grafted into the vine right now. We have the living flowing spirit of God flowing through us enabling us to bear fruits of self-control, good fruits of endurance and perseverance and overcoming temptation where able, to love each other and to forgive those who don't repent. We are able to turn the other cheek. We are able to give to the needy and to show mercy and do the good things of the Spirit standing up for Jesus on this earth. We are able to bear these fruits and the Father is pleased with us and he prunes us to make us bear more fruit, that we continue to mature in the faith.
We may stumble sometimes, but we get up and repent. We continue, however we are also able to cut ourselves off from this living vine and stop bearing fruit. We are able to cut ourselves off and get cut off. Those who withered and did get cut off, they are burned! That means they became no more. They were done away with. They are no longer a part of the vine, even though they had been in the vine beforehand.
We must understand, my friend, that we can indeed lose our born-again status, and we can fall to the fire as Jesus said. We must heed his words and let them push us to fear God and not become complacent in the faith, but to be ever watchful that we may make sure that we are on the narrow way in godly fear, a godly fear of God. That is what I want to strike into your hearts today: a reverence and fear of God, knowing we will be saved, if we remain faithful and heed God’s word pushing us evermore to be faithful, pushing you to be more serious about Jesus everyday, and take your salvation seriously knowing that God doesn't take half measures.
Remember, my friends, the parable of the servants, where the Master gave each of them some money according to their abilities, and what happened was the master went away on a long journey and he left those servants to do with the money what they wished. The first invested and they got five fold in return, and the other 10 fold. But there was one who did nothing. He bore no fruit from the money that was given. He hit it in the ground and when the Master returned, he said to that servant, “Why did you not at least deposit the money in with the bankers? Have this lazy servant bound and cast into the outer-darkness.” And he was cast into the outer-darkness where there was a weeping and gnashing of teeth. That was the end of that servant.
My friend, so it is with us. We have been given the faith of Jesus Christ, the gift of the gospel, we have been given the spiritual Holy Spirit of God enabling us and giving us power to complete our work on this earth for the kingdom, and the Master left Jerusalem back in the early time, and he went away on a long journey, and he will come back and he will call you all and me to account for what we have done with his gifts that he has given us. Did we use them then we increase the kingdom?
When he returns, unfaithful unfruitful servants will be bound and cast into the outer-darkness. But when he returns and finds people who did endure and persevere in the faith, who have done something with what he gave them, even as little as what he gave them, then there will be rewards. To those who he gave a lot, much will be required. But to people to whom he gave a little, little will be required. It depends on the measure he is giving you. The measure he has given you, you should use. Somebody who is given a large ministry, and they travel the world using the opportunities he has given them, with the power he gave them there is a reward. But some people they don't do that. They had a calling on their life and don't obey it.
Some people he gave them a little faith and so they exercise that little faith in their daily life, within their family, and in the workplace wherever they are. They too are pleasing to the Lord because they stood for Jesus in the little faith they had. They kept the faith. It depends, my friends, on whether or not we are serious about the kingdom, or whether we will bear fruit.
Jesus will come back and he will find other people who followed the way of faith, who invested in the Kingdom, and they worked for the kingdom, and started to increase what was given, but then became bankrupt; they left the way of faith, they lost all what they were given. When Jesus comes back for them, they will be empty-handed, bankrupt, and they will receive no pleasure before God, my friends, no pleasure at all. I hope they find a mercy, but the lazy, worthless servant was is cast out into the outer-darkness. I really do hope they get mercy, but I don't like their chances, and I would advise every one of you to never take chances with the Lord. Be sure you are making him pleased with how you live daily, and you will never fall. You will never find displeasure before God if you strive to please him. You can only strive to believe Jesus, if you're serious about it, and you’ll by no means find displeasure with the Lord for he delights in those who are zealous about him.
Zealous believers don't want to sin. They don't want to do evil. When they're tempted to follow the lust of the flesh, they are zealous to put them out. When they are tempted to strike someone who strikes of them in their temper, they are zealous to obey the words of Jesus and not do that. When they are tempted or the situation comes into life that someone has to repay them, and so they want to try and squeeze that person to repay them, they remember the words of Jesus who says to not ask in return for money when given.
Jesus says to give freely, don't seek in return. When somebody asks you to walk 1 mile (carrying their burden, a soldier in those days could ask that) they can do 2 miles, because there are zealous about doing the words of Jesus. So instead of getting angry with someone making them do something for somebody, they go and do a little more than they were required because there are zealous about the words of Jesus. And it is those people who find pleasure with the Lord Jesus Christ and o whom he will say to them, “Come in to the kingdom my faithful servants, because you have been trustworthy over a little, I will make you trustworthy over a lot” (put in charge over a lot). Jesus wants to find us as trustworthy servants who have done well the will of the master. It doesn't matter if you live a wicked life and you've squandered all your time, wasting your time and not living for Jesus. What matters is from TODAY you follow Jesus…not tomorrow. Though you must not have in your heart that you are going to put off being serious into the future just because Jesus said those who work in the vineyard all day, they got they got paid the same as those who worked only in the last hour. Jesus said those who were first will be last, and the last first. What he is talking about are those who lived a wicked life, but decided to turn to Jesus at the last hours. It is some encouragement for you, that you will get rewarded if you stay zealous. So, I want to exhort everybody: do not fall away, do not listen and give ear to Satan. He is there to kill your faith. He is there to stop you from entering the kingdom of God. He is there to get you to become unfruitful servants. He is there to get you to fall short and not enter the kingdom by the narrow gate. So do not give ear to satan, otherwise you will fall away. As I said before I've seen a lot of believers start well, they walked the way of faith, but then they fall away; they fall away to the lust of the flesh, the desires of life. They fall away each to their own temptations. They fall to sin. There is no being born again and being a totally secure down on earth. Once you're born again and grafted into the vine, you must remain and abide in the vine, otherwise you will wither. You will wither, you will get CUT OFF if you remain withered. People say to me, “You're preaching a false gospel, for you say that you can lose your salvation.” People say, “Once you're born again you can never become un-born-again.” You know, my friends, we know very well that once we become born again, we are grafted into the vine, but if we wither, we will get cut off as a Jesus said in the book of John chapter 15! A branch that withers is connected to the vine, but will get cut-off as Jesus said. In the parable of the fruitless fig tree, after the gardener has tended to the tree, and after time if it STILL does not bear fruit, it will be cut down and the cast into the fire. The axe is lying at the roots of every tree in the garden that does not bear fruit as it is written in the words of Jesus Christ the Messiah. Let us believe those words, and lay the foundation of our faith in the words of Jesus Christ. People say, “The apostles brought in the new Gospel, and the words of Jesus were only for Israel and the old covenant back then.” This is untrue, because the words of Jesus are eternal, an eternal covenant, and the last day (he spoke about in that parable) has not come. That's in the future. I don't know how far away into the future it is, but I know that it's in the future and that they have not come to fulfilment yet, therefore the words of Jesus has not come yet to full completion, and he said, “By my words, these words that I have spoken, those words you will be judged on the last day.” He said that these words will judge this generation. It is the words of Jesus that we will be judged by, my friends, not the words of Paul, or Peter, nor by the words of the old covenant. Not by any other words but by the words of Jesus Christ. They will judge this generation on the last day.
Jesus will be looking to see if: did you turn the other cheek? Did you bear fruit? On the last day, these will be the things you'll be judged about. Did you strive faithfully on the narrow way? Did you put the kingdom of God first? Did you forgive those who sinned against you? Did you practice forgiveness?
Did you forget Jesus said those words? You don't want to forget! They are all relevant words for today, Paul only expanded on Jesus's words. Paul expanded on the truth: that Jesus came to do away with the old covenant and brought in the new covenant, and Paul said exactly the same things as Jesus meant, to stay vigilant, stay watchful, for do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God?
Salvation is by faith, not works of the law, rather living by faith. That's how you get salvation, not through works of the law; works of circumcision, works of the sabbath, works of being a good Torah keeper. It's only through a living relationship with Jesus Christ by faith having the Holy Spirit in you.
As Paul said, “Did you get the Holy Spirit by obeying the law of Moses?” No, the Spirit came by baptism into his name, the new covenant which is not the old covenant. You receive the Holy Spirit by faith, and that's why it's not by works.
Did you stop sinning by faith? Or did you stop sinning by your own works? Were you able to turn away from your evil by your own works? You are not able to regenerate your heart by your works. That's where the new covenant comes in, that's by faith, not works, that we were able to clean ourselves up. Not by our own efforts, because you cannot clean up when you're not regenerated. We are only able to be cleaned up when we came to Jesus by faith and he gave us a new way.
I didn’t become free from my sinning paths by my power, otherwise it's by works and can boast, rather I became free from sin because I turned to Jesus Christ and he changed my life. He is powerful and he set me free from sin. By faith I became regenerated and grafted into the vine, not by my own works but by the power of God through the name of Jesus Christ through faith. I didn't see Jesus, but I had faith in him and then he came into my life and he filled me with the Holy Spirit.
You see, my friends, this is the wisdom of the kingdom of God. Are we listening now? Are we listening? Let's learn about the kingdom of God today. I got this wisdom from God. Everybody who draws near the Lord and is serious about him, he will teach them the wisdom of truth. I'm only here to push you to the Lord so that you will learn from him. He will open up your heart to understanding, praise the Lord!
You don't need to learn how to preach the truth. Somebody said to me awhile ago, that they were learning how to give a sermon. They were learning how to serve God by their organisation’s teachings. You know, my friend, they're only learning to be puppets and parrots of the church that they following. You cannot learn how to preach from being in schools of men. The only way to learn how the truth goes and to be able to speak the truth, is not through knowledge and study, otherwise I could not be here because I don't have a lot of knowledge and I don’t do much study. I do not study theology. The way to learn how to give the give the truth, is to be led by the Holy Spirit; to be schooled by the Holy Spirit in disciple’s school. He is the giver of words of life that we have when we came to Jesus our situation.
The teacher is the Holy Spirit. Jesus said that he speaks the words to you what comes from God. If anybody lacks wisdom we don't go to mankind and study hard, we go to God in faith in prayer. He gives all wisdom freely to those who ask. If you want to grow in grace, grow in wisdom, you don't need to study, you need to go to Jesus in prayer.
There is nothing wrong with studying scriptures, and history to have a broader understanding about things, however if you want to have the wisdom of the kingdom of God, then you need to go to God and he will give you freely what you need to know. So you don't need to be schooled of man to give the truth.
If you want to work for Jesus Christ, you must not be ordained by the church, because it means you're not working for Jesus you're working for the church. If you want to be working for Jesus Christ, you have to be ordained by Jesus Christ, otherwise you can't work for him. You can't do the work of garden in the kingdom of God without the Holy Spirit! We've got to be ordained by God not by mankind.
Jesus called us to be citizens of the kingdom, representations of the kingdom, serious about him so that we may give God a good name on this earth, give glory to the Father. That means that we live for the Lord and we don't go on in sin joining the world in their sin. We obey the Lord and all we do, hallelujah! Amen... ...
